This is a full-time contract opportunity working 35 hours per week, beginning in late August and concluding in early June. Located conveniently near Saint Helen, MI, you'll work closely with a diverse caseload of 50 students, helping them access the communication skills they need to grow and succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Previous experience or training working in a school-based setting is highly valued
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for students ages PreK through 12th grade
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress toward goals
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student needs within the classroom
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and district requirements
- Provide support, resources, and guidance to families and classroom staff on speech and language development
