School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Saint Johns, Florida

Make a difference in students’ lives by providing essential speech-language services at a school near Saint Johns, FL. This on-site, contract opportunity begins August 10, 2026, and runs through May 28, 2027, offering a stable, full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (seven hours per day). You’ll be assigned to one school, working with students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Caseloads, typically around 60 students, will reflect the needs and level (mild to moderate) at your assigned campus, which could include elementary, high school, or specialized center schools.

Desired Qualifications:

• Hold an active Florida Department of Health Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) license
• Experience delivering services to school-based populations, preferably covering ages Pre-K through 12
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other related service providers
• Previous experience in schools supporting diverse needs (including mild, moderate, or severe populations) is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy and screenings for eligible students
• Perform evaluations and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
• Collaborate with educational staff and families to optimize student outcomes
• Participate in team meetings as required
• Support a positive, inclusive, and goal-oriented learning environment

Credentialing requirements include completing school fingerprinting in accordance with Florida district guidelines, or verifying prior clearance through the AHCA Clearinghouse. JLA badge processing may take up to 10 business days.
