Step into a rewarding contract position focused on making a meaningful impact in the lives of students ages 3-18 for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time opportunity is based near Saint Joseph, MO, serving three local school settings in the Gower area. You’ll enjoy a consistent schedule of 7.5 hours per day, two days per week (or three days if you’re an SLPA), supporting caseloads with a spectrum of speech and language needs, primarily mild to moderate in complexity.
This position offers competitive compensation of $40-52 per hour depending on experience, with a start date of August 24, 2026 and coverage through June 10, 2027—including Extended School Year (ESY) sessions.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP, SLP-CFY) or Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credentials required
- Experience with pediatric populations spanning preschool through high school
- Familiarity with delivering services in both in-person and teletherapy settings
- Knowledge of school-based practices and IEP documentation
- Ability to travel between up to three school sites within the Gower area
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students aged 3-18, supporting a diverse caseload
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
