Step into a valued contract position supporting the speech and language development of middle school students in the greater Saint Paul, MN area. This on-site opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027 and centers on providing expert supervision and clinical services across two middle schools. You’ll collaborate with dedicated professionals and lead a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), guiding their practice while also overseeing a varied caseload.
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active Minnesota state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly middle school
- Demonstrated experience in supervising or mentoring support staff or SLPAs
- Strong clinical problem-solving, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring
- Supervise, mentor, and direct the school’s SLPA, ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Document student progress and adhere to all district, state, and federal compliance standards
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians and team members regarding student progress
- Participate in school meetings, staff development, and professional learning opportunities
