A school district in Salinas, CA is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2025-2026 school year. This in-person role begins January 5, 2026, and will run through June 12, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Serving primarily elementary students in grades TK through 2nd, the position involves working directly with a diverse caseload that includes Speech-Only, Resource Specialist Program (RSP), and Special Day Class (SDC) students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to implement interventions tailored to each student's needs.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state standards.
- Participate in meetings and communicate effectively with families to support student growth.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Experience working with elementary students, particularly in TK-2nd grade.
- Ability to manage caseload including speech-only and special education students (RSP and SDC).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators and families.
- Flexibility to work in an in-person school environment.
