Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in early elementary grades as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position runs from late August 2026 through June 2027 and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners near Salisbury, MD. Work closely with another talented SLP to serve a manageable caseload of 40-50 students, focusing on small group and one-on-one interventions.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- CCC-SLP certification required
- Maryland Department of Health Certification
- Experience working with students from PreK3 through 3rd grade is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with mild to moderate disabilities
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy and document progress thoughtfully
- Passion for helping young children achieve communication success
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct speech-language services for all qualifying students
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and managing documentation
- Conducting assessments and contributing to eligibility decisions
- Collaborating with educators, families, and school staff to maximize student progress
- Supporting students in small groups and one-on-one settings
- Adapting activities and interventions to meet diverse student needs
- Maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory guidelines
