Step into a rewarding school-based Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity in a vibrant environment supporting students near Salisbury, NC. This contract role is open for the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning August 12, 2026, through June 11, 2027. The district is seeking four dedicated SLPs (including Clinical Fellows—supervision provided!) for full-time assignments primarily in the East or Southern parts of the district. You’ll enjoy flexibility in your caseload preference, with a maximum caseload of up to 35 students. No assistant positions are open at this time.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)
  • CCC-SLP credential preferred; SLP-CF candidates welcome (district provides supervision)
  • Previous school-based experience especially supporting students with Autism (AU) and low cognitive disabilities is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to serving diverse student populations

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students as assigned
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and progress documentation in accordance with school guidelines
  • Participate in eligibility, IEP, and team meetings as needed
