This full-time contract seeks an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services at the middle school level, working collaboratively with educators, staff, and families to create impactful change.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in Texas and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus, but not required
- Strong understanding of age-appropriate interventions for a middle school caseload
- Able to organize and prioritize caseload responsibilities effectively
- Collaborative spirit and commitment to student-centered practice
What You'll Do:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and deliver direct speech/language therapy to middle school students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure that communication goals are integrated into the educational environment
- Monitor progress and keep detailed documentation for compliance and data tracking
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
- Adapt interventions for a diverse student population, supporting both general and special education needs
- Provide consultation to staff and family members regarding communication strategies and support
This contract role is set to begin August 11, 2026, and continue through May 21, 2027, with consistent full-time, 37.5-hour weeks that allow you to guide progress throughout the entire school year.
