This contract opportunity, located near San Antonio, TX, focuses on supporting a diverse caseload of approximately 30-35 students, with services provided three days a week. You’ll have the chance to work with children presenting a range of communication needs, including articulation, fluency, use of AAC devices, and students on the autism spectrum.
What You'll Need:
- Active Texas State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience or proficiency working with school-aged children
- Background with articulation and fluency disorders
- Familiarity with supporting students using AAC devices
- Ability to manage a caseload and provide both evaluations and direct therapy
- On-site availability; this position does not offer remote or teletherapy options at this time
What You'll Do:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students in grades K-10
- Complete thorough evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Adjust interventions to best meet the unique needs of each student, including those with autism or who benefit from assistive technology
