School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a school district near San Antonio, Texas for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity supporting students with speech and language needs in an educational setting.
The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech therapy services, implement treatment plans, document student progress, and support communication development across a diverse student population.
Position Details:
• Full-time school-based position
• 37.5 hours per week
• Onsite services
• Monolingual candidates encouraged to apply
• School locations assigned following interview
• Collaborative special education and related services team
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
• Implement individualized treatment plans and therapy activities
• Assist with speech, language, articulation, fluency, and social communication interventions
• Document therapy sessions and student progress
• Support students in achieving communication and academic goals
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families
• Assist with preparation of therapy materials and classroom-based supports
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
Qualifications:
• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively under SLP supervision
