Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with middle and high school students. This engaging assignment is based near San Bernardino, CA, where you'll split your time between two school sites, serving a caseload of around 55 students identified with mild to moderate communication needs. The schedule is full-time, averaging 37 hours per week, with support from a dedicated SLPA available at each site on select days.

Qualifications:

  • Active SLP - CCC credentials required
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of mild to moderate speech/language disorders
  • Comfort and adaptability with both middle school and high school age groups
  • Effective communicator with students, staff, and families
  • Collaborative spirit to partner with an SLPA and other educational professionals
  • California licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, intervention, and therapy for students with mild/moderate speech and language impairments
  • Split assignment between middle school and high school campuses, delivering direct and consultative services
  • Maintain accurate records, develop IEP goals, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families for student success
  • Supervise and provide direction to the assigned SLPA
  • Support students’ progress towards academic and social success
  • Participate in staff meetings and complete required documentation in a timely manner
