Deliver meaningful speech-language therapy as part of a collaborative team structure, with the benefit of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) assigned part-time at both Mission Middle School and Jurupa Valley High School. This role involves working with a range of mild to moderate cases, offering plenty of room to exercise your clinical expertise, and foster growth in your students.
In this position, you’ll work directly with an average caseload of 55 students, dividing your time between MS and HS campuses. A consistent weekly schedule of 37 hours ensures your commitment translates into real impact for learners in need of your skills.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current, valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license and CCC-SLP certification
- Experience in school settings, specifically with adolescent and teen populations
- Ability to manage and prioritize a manageable caseload
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for mild to moderate speech and language needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Adaptability for providing services across two campuses
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized IEP goals for each student
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate with educational teams, parents, and support staff, including part-time SLPA assistance
- Maintain timely and accurate records for compliance and ongoing progress monitoring
- Provide staff training and guidance when needed
