Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication and language skills! A school-based opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct services across two school sites, working with students from kindergarten through high school. This full-time, onsite contract covers the academic year, from early August through early June, and offers a balanced caseload with no more than 55 students.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
- Active state SLP license and California CTC Credential (will consider candidates with pending credentials if they’re expected before the start date)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong clinical fellows (CFs) with appropriate credentials and supervision are also welcome
- Recent experience in a public-school setting is desirable
- Strong skills in evaluation, individualized education plan (IEP) development, and evidence-based interventions
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Comfortable managing a diverse K-12 caseload across more than one site
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language services to students at Heritage School and Vista Verde
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educators and families
- Maintain diligent records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide support and resources to school staff and families to foster student success
