Step into a dynamic contract opportunity working with TK-5th grade students, delivering speech-language pathology services in a collaborative school setting. This role, starting August 5, 2024, and extending through June 12, 2025, provides a full-time, weekday schedule (Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 2:15 pm), supporting a diverse population including Speech IEP and middle school SDC students. With a manageable caseload of 46 students, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing communication skills for young learners.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold, or be eligible for, California licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC, or SLP-CFY welcomed)
- Experience in school-based settings, preferably working with elementary-age or special education populations
- Strong assessment, documentation, and report-writing skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Experience with IEP processes and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued and make candidates stand out
- Clinical fellows are encouraged to apply; consideration will be given to assistants (SLPA) if a qualified SLP cannot be found
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services to students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain timely, thorough documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal development
- Provide ongoing communication with staff and families regarding student progress
