Make a meaningful impact supporting students in an elementary school setting near San Diego, CA! This contract opportunity is set to begin August 5, 2024 and extend through June 12, 2025. Work collaboratively with educators and families to provide speech-language services to a diverse caseload. You’ll serve students in grades TK-5, including those with Speech IEPs and middle school SDC students needing speech services. The role involves a standard 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with hours from 7:30 am to 2:15 pm.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required).
  • Valid California SLP license or expected eligibility by start date.
  • Accepting both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and those with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Strong organizational, assessment, and documentation skills.
  • Previous school-based SLP experience, bilingual skills, or experience with various communication needs make your application stand out.
  • SLPA candidates may be considered if SLP vacancies remain.
  • Teletherapy and hybrid schedules are not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct SLP intervention for students with documented speech and language needs.
  • Complete evaluations, write comprehensive reports, and contribute to IEP meetings for assigned caseload (approximately 46 students).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to design individualized support strategies.
  • Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and foster communication with families and teachers.
