This contract opportunity is available near San Francisco, CA, from August 11 through November 10, offering a consistent 35-hour work week in a supportive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Active state licensure to practice as an SLP in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school or educational setting
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students as identified through referral or intervention processes
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on each student's unique needs and goals
- Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group, targeting speech, voice, fluency, and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress and build effective intervention strategies
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of assessment results, therapy progress, and compliance reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for students
- Provide resources, recommendations, and support to staff and caregivers as needed
