This is a contract opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to deliver high-quality speech and language services across pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. The assignment spans the academic year, beginning the week of August 17, 2026, and concluding the week of May 28, 2027, with a consistent schedule of three days per week (6.5 hours per day).
You’ll make a genuine difference by working directly with approximately 29 students, including six “speech only” students for whom you’ll also serve as case manager. Your expertise will help students succeed academically and socially, fostering growth throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current California SLP license and ASHA CCC required
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of diverse student needs (PK-8th grade)
- Excellent communication, case management, and IEP documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, evidence-based speech and language therapy services
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Serve as case manager for a small group of speech-only students
- Collaborate actively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports student communication and learning
- Maintain thorough and timely records of sessions and progress
