In this role, you'll support two high-caseload elementary schools in the San Jose area. Your work will include both direct therapy services and assessment responsibilities, ensuring a variety-driven schedule. For those seeking part-time hours, options include 0.6 FTE, splitting your week between two sites and dedicating a day to assessments.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid CA SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting, especially with elementary populations, highly preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage high caseloads and collaborate with educational teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech therapy sessions
- Conduct thorough student assessments and collaborate on IEPs
- Document and track progress following school and state guidelines
- Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
- Travel between elementary sites, providing consistent support to both
