This contract opportunity is ideal for someone ready to contribute immediately, working with enthusiastic young learners in a vibrant school atmosphere near San Jose, CA. The position is designed to be flexible—full-time at 37.5 hours per week, but open to part-time options should that better fit your schedule.
You’ll split your expertise between two elementary schools supporting high caseloads. Your week will be dynamic: providing direct therapy, collaborating with teachers and families, and conducting assessments 1-2 days per week. If you prefer a part-time load, a 0.6 FTE schedule is easily arranged, with a mix of on-site support and dedicated assessment days.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid California licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist - CCC
- Experience or strong interest in elementary school populations
- Comfort managing a high caseload
- Flexibility and commitment to collaborative, student-centered services
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to IEPs
- Serve as a resource for teachers and families on communication goals
- Participate in multitiered systems of support
- Maintain timely, accurate records of progress and service delivery
