This full-time, contract role spans 2-3 educational sites and serves a diverse caseload of up to 55 PreK-8th grade students. You’ll collaborate with dedicated educational teams, helping children develop crucial communication skills that lead to academic and social success.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent)
- Active SLP license in California
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, especially in school settings
- Strong assessment and intervention skills for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech and language assessments for PreK-8th grade students
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized therapy based on student needs
- Maintain accurate and timely records and documentation in compliance with district/state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to support students’ goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide progress updates, and contribute to team discussions
- Offer consultative services and training for staff and families as needed
- Travel between assigned sites within the district as part of your service delivery
