Step into a full-time contract position for the 2025-2026 school year supporting PreK-8th grade students with speech and language needs across 2-3 school sites near San Jose, CA. This impactful role offers you the chance to make a difference for a diverse student population while collaborating closely with other dedicated education professionals. You’ll manage a caseload of up to 55 students, delivering high-quality assessments, therapy, and intervention services to help every child reach their full potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though strong Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting supporting PreK through middle school students is ideal
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel between assigned sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy to individuals and small groups
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt interventions and materials to meet the diverse needs of a PreK-8th grade caseload
