Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a Speech Language Pathologist providing coverage for a maternity leave. This full-time, contract opportunity begins in late January and extends through the end of the school year. You'll work three to four days per week within a dynamic educational setting near San Jose, CA, collaborating with dedicated professionals to help young learners thrive.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid SLP licensure in California
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) accepted
  • Experience supporting diverse elementary school caseloads
  • Familiarity with school-based therapy practices and IEP processes
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Adaptability to fluctuating schedules and needs, including Tony VBD if circumstances require a flipped model

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to elementary students as outlined in IEPs
  • Conduct individual and group sessions addressing articulation, language, voice, fluency, and social-pragmatic skills
  • Assess and document student progress, updating IEP goals as needed
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student success
  • Maintain thorough records in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
  • Adapt delivery model (Tony VBD) if required for a flipped instructional environment
