Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a Speech Language Pathologist providing coverage for a maternity leave. This full-time, contract opportunity begins in late January and extends through the end of the school year. You'll work three to four days per week within a dynamic educational setting near San Jose, CA, collaborating with dedicated professionals to help young learners thrive.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP licensure in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) accepted
- Experience supporting diverse elementary school caseloads
- Familiarity with school-based therapy practices and IEP processes
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
- Adaptability to fluctuating schedules and needs, including Tony VBD if circumstances require a flipped model
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to elementary students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct individual and group sessions addressing articulation, language, voice, fluency, and social-pragmatic skills
- Assess and document student progress, updating IEP goals as needed
- Consult with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student success
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt delivery model (Tony VBD) if required for a flipped instructional environment
