Speech Language Pathologist in San Jose, CA

Embark on a contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing in-person support to elementary students in a dynamic educational setting near San Jose, CA. This position is essential in supporting the Speech-Language teams at two elementary schools during a period of increased caseload. You will not be the primary SLP for any particular school but will offer much-needed assistance and assist with assessments as needed. The assignment runs from the start of the school year and will continue until an internal hire is made. Start as soon as possible and help make a meaningful difference for students and staff!

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
• Experience in a school setting, particularly with K-5 and preschool populations
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a wider team
• California state licensure preferred, but not required by the district
• Strong skills in assessment, collaboration, and communication

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language services to assigned caseloads at Braly Elementary (mid to moderate needs) and Briarwood Elementary (general education and preschool)
• Rotate between school sites, working at one location per day
• Support existing SLPs by managing overflow and assisting with assessments
• Maintain documentation and coordinate with school personnel to best meet student needs
• Ensure interventions are evidence-based and tailored to individual students
