Step into a fulfilling opportunity as a Speech and Language Pathologist supporting students in a rural location near San Juan Bautista, CA. This contract role offers two openings: one SLP to serve a rural school circuit working with students in TK through 8th grade, and another focused on providing services to preschool children aged 3-5 at a single school site. Both caseloads average between 35 to 45 students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
  • Current California SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain state licensure
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and adapting to travel between school sites for the rural role

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy for assigned caseloads, targeting individual IEP goals
  • Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and maintain comprehensive progress reports
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering input and recommendations for speech and language services
  • Adapt materials and therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs, including those in rural or preschool settings
  • Manage time efficiently to serve multiple schools, if assigned to the rural circuit
