Step into a rewarding opportunity to support elementary-aged students with communication challenges in a vibrant educational environment near San Luis Obispo, CA. This full-time, school-year contract position offers the chance to make a notable impact working as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist. Serving two elementary school locations, you’ll divide your week between them—three days at one, two days at the other—helping students with mild to moderate needs on a manageable caseload of 55.

Openness to welcoming a Clinical Fellow (CF) is part of this role, with dedicated supervision provided, ensuring a supportive and collaborative experience. With no SLPA required on-site, your skills as an SLP-CCC or school-based SLP will be directly supporting students and collaborating closely with educational teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid SLP license in California and ASHA CCCs required (or eligibility)
  • Experience in a school-based setting preferred, especially with elementary age
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Willingness to supervise Clinical Fellows (supervisor provided for CF applicants)
  • Commitment to a full school year placement

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver screening, evaluation, and therapeutic interventions onsite for elementary students
  • Develop individualized educational plans and monitor progress
  • Work directly with teachers, administrators, and families to support student outcomes
  • Maintain thorough records and documentation for each student on caseload
  • Engage in team meetings and contribute to a positive school culture
