This role is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) who enjoys working in dynamic educational environments. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- California SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain
- Experience working in school settings strongly preferred
- Ability to effectively assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in a diverse student population
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for both student and team collaboration
- Familiarity with IEP development, goal writing, and documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication needs within the student body
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support each student’s success in the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing consultation and guidance to staff and families
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation to comply with legal and school requirements
- Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork with teachers, counselors, and other support staff
- Provide training and resources to educators and families to optimize communication strategies
