As an SLP, you’ll embrace a variety of meaningful responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students experiencing speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments
- Provide engaging therapy sessions addressing a range of speech and language goals
- Track and document student progress with detail and accuracy
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Actively involve families in the therapeutic process and offer education as needed
Qualifications to thrive in this role:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
To be eligible, candidates must have an active license from the State Board of Speech Language Pathology and a master’s degree or higher in the field.
