Ideal qualifications and background:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology license (California)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility at Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) level
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatrics and school-based therapy
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and progress monitoring
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, educators, and families
  • Adaptable, compassionate, and committed to student development

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings, providing input and progress reports as required
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and caregivers for integrated student support
  • Maintain ongoing documentation and comply with state, district, and federal regulations
  • Provide both individual and group therapy sessions as indicated by student needs
