Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold (or be eligible for) a Virginia SLP license
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply
  • Experience in pediatric, healthcare, or school-based SLP is beneficial but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for fostering communication and promoting student growth across K–12 populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through high school
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student IEPs
  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions to help students achieve academic and social success
  • Monitor progress, adjust treatment strategies as needed, and document outcomes
  • Partner closely with teachers, families, and special education staff to ensure comprehensive student support
