Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP license and certification in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both with students and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and implement effective treatment plans for students with diverse needs
- Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance with state/federal education requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students, both individually and in groups, according to their IEPs
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and update treatment plans tailored to student progress and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel to foster student success in the academic environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Support school-wide language and communication initiatives
