Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services in a vibrant school setting serving students in grades TK through 8th. This full-time position runs from September 16th through February 10th, with a structured workday from 7:30am to 4:00pm. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred, as you will have the chance to make a significant impact working closely with multilingual learners and their families.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Demonstrated experience with bilingual (English/Spanish) evaluations
- Strong background in writing comprehensive reports
- Expertise in service scheduling and provision in a school environment
- Prior experience working with TK-8th grade students
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations for a diverse student population, with particular attention to bilingual assessment practices
- Develop, write, and present detailed evaluation reports tailored to educational settings
- Design and implement individualized therapy services and schedules
- Provide direct therapy sessions, both individual and group, supporting students’ communication needs
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to support academic and social success
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in accordance with school and state standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
