Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Santa Barbara, CA

A dedicated school-based team near Santa Barbara, CA, seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Clinical Fellow (CFY), or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to deliver high-quality speech and language services. This full-time assignment runs through the end of the school year, with the potential to extend as the need for compensatory services grows.

Your ability to thrive in dynamic environments, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate across roles is highly valued. You'll work closely with special educators and school administrators to help students overcome communication barriers and achieve academic success.

Qualifications:

• California licensure or certification as SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA required
• Experience in school, pediatric, healthcare, or teletherapy settings
• Proven skills providing speech therapy and compensatory services to K-12 students
• Strong understanding of IEP documentation and compliance
• Effective communication and organizational abilities
• Flexibility to support a diverse caseload and changing schedules
• Comfort engaging with students, families, and team members virtually and in person
• SLPA applicants welcome

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language services to students per IEP requirements
• Address compensatory service needs for students impacted by service delays
• Collaborate with staff to assess needs and create actionable treatment plans
• Maintain accurate data collection, progress notes, and service logs
• Participate in IEP meetings and reviews as required
• Communicate clearly with families, staff, and administrators about progress and needs
• Work with SLPA if placed, offering guidance and collaboration
