We’re seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a full-time, onsite contract position covering the upcoming school year. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with teachers and families, delivering crucial OT services across multiple school sites and supporting a diverse TK-8 student population.
Key Qualifications:
- California licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings, including facilitating fine and gross motor skill development
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborative consultation with educational teams
- Ability to adapt interventions for diverse learners and provide therapy in both individual and group settings
- Strong report writing skills (submission of a sample report, with student names removed, is required)
- Submission of two professional letters of recommendation
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 55 students at the TK-8 level
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services across 2-3 school sites within the district
- Assess and address students’ fine and gross motor skills, as well as their functional participation in the classroom
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and school professionals to support students’ educational success
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
