School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Santa Clara, California

Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a collaborative educational environment near Santa Clara, CA. This contract position focuses primarily on early elementary and preschool students, offering the chance to make a significant impact during formative years.

You'll provide direct speech therapy, manage a caseload of 25 speech-only students as case manager, and collaborate with fellow professionals to support an additional 7-10 students needing both speech and other special education services. Your expertise will ensure these students receive individualized care, guidance, and IEP support. This part-time opportunity involves working on-site 2-3 days each week, totaling approximately 23-24 hours spread over four days.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid SLP licensure and CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
• Previous school-based SLP experience, especially with preschool through 2nd grade, strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP process and documentation
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate on a multidisciplinary team
• Compassionate, student-centered approach to therapy and accommodations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, on-site speech-language therapy services to assigned caseload
• Serve as case manager for 25 speech-only students, overseeing IEP documentation and progress tracking
• Collaborate with special education staff to support 7-10 students requiring multiple services
• Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and parent communications
• Develop therapy plans and adapt interventions based on each student’s unique needs
