This position is designed for a certified and licensed SLP passionate about making a positive impact for students from Pre K through middle school.
In this role, you’ll work closely with elementary and early middle-level learners presenting with a range of needs: from mild articulation concerns to mild-to-moderate disabilities involving language deficits, including those utilizing AAC. The assignment spans the current and next academic years, with options to extend through the summer ESY session and into the following school year for those seeking greater continuity.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist certification and state licensure required
- Experience in school-based settings with elementary or middle school students highly preferred
- Competency working with articulation and language concerns, including familiarity with AAC strategies
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students TK-6th, adapting techniques for diverse needs
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and track progress for a range of mild to moderate speech/language challenges
- Serve two school sites: 2 days weekly at one campus (7:45am–3:15pm), 3 days at another (8:15am–3:45pm)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff, ensuring seamless services across locations
- Document sessions and participate in IEP meetings as required
