Passionate about making a meaningful impact in elementary and middle school settings? This contract-based opportunity offers the chance to serve a diverse group of students across two welcoming school sites, supporting communication development from transitional kindergarten through 6th grade. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to empower learners with mild articulation challenges, mild to moderate language deficits, and some AAC needs, helping each student build confidence and thrive.

Key Details:

  • Full-time position during the current school year, with options for extended school year (ESY) and next school year (NSY) placements
  • Caseload spans Pre K/TK through 6th grade
  • Serve students at two locations: 2 days per week at one site (staff hours 7:45am–3:15pm), 3 days at the other (staff hours 8:15am–3:45pm)
  • Start as soon as possible; option to conclude at end of current school year (June 11), or continue through summer ESY (June 17–July 17) and into the next school year (beginning August 5)

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid SLP license/certification required
  • Experience in school settings, ideally with Pre K or elementary/middle school students
  • Knowledge and comfort supporting students with mild articulation, language deficits, and AAC needs
  • Commitment to collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt services to a range of student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver speech/language therapy to students with diverse abilities
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and legal guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
  • Support IEP development and attend related meetings
  • Integrate technology and AAC to enhance student communication
