Make an impact by supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming school environment near beautiful Santa Cruz, CA! In this contract role, you’ll collaborate closely with staff to provide essential speech and language services to students from preschool through 2nd grade. Your clinical expertise will play a key role in fostering communication skills and confidence in these formative years.

What you’ll bring:

  • Active SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • Previous experience in school settings preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP writing and implementation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and educational teams
  • Passion for working with young children and helping them reach developmental milestones

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Providing speech-language therapy to a caseload of approximately 25 speech-only students as their case manager
  • Offering IEP consultation and support for 7-10 additional students requiring speech services as well as other special education support
  • Completing assessments, progress reports, and participating in IEP meetings
  • Working on site 2-3 days per week, with a schedule of 23-24 hours over 4 days, supporting individualized and group therapy sessions in school settings
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and district protocols
