School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Santa Cruz, California

As an on-site Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC), you’ll work directly with preschool through second-grade students, providing essential speech services that foster growth and confidence.

You’ll play a crucial role as a case manager for a manageable caseload of 25 speech-only students, and collaborate closely with school teams to deliver IEP support to another 7-10 students who need both speech and special education services. With a flexible commitment of 23-24 hours spread over 4 days each week and on-site presence required 2-3 days per week, this role allows you to maintain meaningful connections with your students while balancing your professional and personal life.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Active state licensure for SLP practice
• Previous school-based or pediatric speech-language pathology experience preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and case management
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech assessments and direct therapy for preschool-2nd grade students
• Serve as the primary case manager for speech-only students
• Support case managers for students with additional special education needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
