Make a lasting impact on students’ lives as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic school setting near Santa Maria, CA. This onsite, full-time opportunity is designed for those who are passionate about supporting elementary-aged students in their communication growth. You will work across two school locations, providing invaluable speech services to a caseload of 55 mild to moderate students. This contract role is for the full school year, with consistent scheduling—three days at one site and two at another.
Both experienced SLPs holding their CCC and Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply. Supervision for CFs will be provided by Soliant, ensuring you have the mentorship needed for success. There is no requirement for an SLPA in this position, allowing you to focus on direct therapy and evaluation. Additionally, the district anticipates ongoing needs for the 2026-27 year, offering the possibility of future opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or in process of Clinical Fellowship (CF)
- Experience with school-based caseloads, particularly with elementary students
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 55 students
- Passion for working with mild to moderate needs in a collaborative school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite speech-language therapy, assessment, and interventions
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
- Maintain professional documentation and compliance
- Foster a positive, language-rich environment across both school sites
