Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license (California)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school environment highly preferred
- Ability to supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA)
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in developing and writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ speech and language needs
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in compliance with federal and state guidelines
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy to support student communication and academic goals
- Oversee and mentor SLPAs, ensuring fidelity of intervention and accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ progress
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with district and legal requirements
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in multidisciplinary team activities
