School Speech Language Pathologist - Sarasota, Florida

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students across dynamic school settings. You’ll spend your time between two vibrant campuses, working with supportive teams dedicated to fostering growth for each student.

Your workdays will be split between Buffalo Creek Middle School, where you’ll focus on students in low cognitive and behavior units, and Prine Elementary, collaborating closely with seasoned SLPs and SLPAs across a variety of PreK and specialized classrooms. The caseload offers the chance for meaningful, hands-on impact, including direct therapy for approximately 50 students, additional consulting, and participation in a collaborative atmosphere designed for student success.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Florida SLP License required
• Experience in school-based SLP services preferred (including collaboration with other clinicians)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to provide direct therapy and consultative support for students in PK through middle school, including those in specialized programs
• Commitment to on-site presence as required by district

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized/group speech and language therapy in accordance with IEPs
• Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and fellow SLPs
• Conduct screenings, assessments, and contribute to eligibility decisions
• Maintain thorough, compliant documentation
• Participate in IEP development and meetings
• Support both direct and consultative service models to students
