Grades 6 - 8 Grades 9 - 12 School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Saratoga Springs, New York

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students ages 5-21 in a vibrant special education setting near Saratoga Springs, NY. This year-round private program serves 78 students across 10 self-contained classrooms, with a low student-to-staff ratio of 8:1:3, fostering personalized support for each learner. The community includes level 3 autism, students with significant behavioral challenges, severe cognitive impairments, and a majority using alternative communication methods such as AAC devices.

You'll work in a dedicated therapy space, collaborating with educators and support staff to address the unique speech and language needs of each student. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, and starts as soon as possible through the end of the school year.

Desired Experience & Skills:

• ASHA certification and active state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
• Previous experience in K-12 settings; experience with middle and high school populations is especially valuable
• Familiarity with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) devices and non-verbal communication strategies
• Comfort managing therapy sessions for students with complex needs and severe behaviors
• Strong collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to creating individualized therapy plans and documenting student progress

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy to students ages 5-21
• Develop and implement IEP-driven communication interventions
