You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans, focusing on enhancing students’ speech, language, and social skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience working with school-aged children
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability within a dynamic school environment
Position Responsibilities:
- Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among students
- Develop personalized therapeutic plans targeting specific student goals
- Provide direct and consultative services in individual and group settings
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, progress reports, and billing logs
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise in speech and language development
- Engage families and staff in the therapeutic process and offer strategies for continued growth outside of sessions
- Stay current with best practices and school-based SLP methodologies
