Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Saugerties, NY

Make a difference in early childhood education by providing speech-language services to preschoolers across two engaging settings. This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP, CCC required) to work within two nearby schools serving children ages 3-5. Although the schools are 45 minutes apart, you’ll enjoy spending each day at only one site, allowing for meaningful connections with students and staff.

This flexible position is ideal for a full-time professional who can oversee both locations, but candidates seeking part-time roles will also be considered.

What we’re seeking:

• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Previous experience in school or pediatric settings, especially with children ages 3-5, is highly desirable
• Strong assessment, planning, and therapy skills tailored to the needs of young learners
• Excellent communication skills to partner effectively with teachers and families
• Reliable transportation to commute between the two locations as needed

Role breakdown:

• Pine Plains: 3 days/week, providing up to 10 sessions daily (40 sessions/week)
• Mt. Marion: 2-3 days/week, ramping up from lower frequency as enrollment grows (potentially 43 sessions/week once full)
• Deliver individualized and small-group speech-language therapy
• Complete evaluations, write reports, and contribute to IEP meetings
• Collaborate with teaching teams and support classroom language strategies
• Maintain detailed progress records and ensure compliance with all regulations
