Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an SLP endorsement
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Prior experience working with school-aged children in a school environment preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, families, and students
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy to students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and reports for educational teams and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and advocacy for students
- Communicate regularly with families and staff, sharing strategies to support student outcomes
- Offer consultation and resources to teachers to better support classroom success for all students
