Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an SLP endorsement
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children in a school environment preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, families, and students
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy to students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and reports for educational teams and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and advocacy for students
  • Communicate regularly with families and staff, sharing strategies to support student outcomes
  • Offer consultation and resources to teachers to better support classroom success for all students
