Step into a dynamic school-based opportunity as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist, making a meaningful impact on students’ lives in an in-person setting near Portland, ME. You will play a vital role in helping a diverse caseload of 20 students develop their communication abilities and reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • State licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
  • Experience or interest in working within school environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
  • Meticulous documentation and case management abilities
  • Dedication to fostering growth in students with various communication challenges

Your Daily Impact:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for a K-12 caseload
  • Develop and implement individualized education and therapy plans according to students’ unique needs
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Monitor student progress and regularly update IEPs and related reports
  • Deliver engaging therapy sessions, using evidence-based interventions and resources
  • Educate school staff and caregivers on strategies for supporting student communication skills within the classroom and beyond
