Qualifications and Skills

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Enthusiasm for working with students with diverse communication needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation for student progress and interventions
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings with staff and families, offering expertise and recommendations
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other service providers to foster success in academic and social settings
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education relevant to school-based speech-language services
