Speech Language Pathologist in Schenectady, NY

Available start dates allow for flexibility: one position opens on July 27, allowing you to begin making a difference during the summer months, while another commences September 8, aligning with the new school year. Both roles run through the entire academic year. Your work will be fully onsite, fostering close collaboration with students, families, and an interdisciplinary preschool team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Holds a valid state Speech-Language Pathologist license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
• Experience within preschool or school-based settings preferred
• Confidence working with children exhibiting a range of communication needs, including non-verbal challenges and developmental delays
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with young children and their families
• Able to adapt and customize strategies for diverse learning and communication styles

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for preschoolers
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' unique needs
• Collaborate with educators, aides, and family members to maximize student progress
• Track and document student growth and provide progress reports in line with school and state requirements
• Provide direct, onsite SLP services as part of a multidisciplinary team
