Qualifications & Experience Needed:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active or eligible Texas SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Background in school-based speech services and ARD (Admission, Review, Dismissal) processes
- Familiarity with assessment and intervention for varied student populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a small caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare for ARD meetings, compile student progress data, and develop goals
- Attend and participate actively in ARDs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Administer speech and language assessments, interpret results, and guide recommendations
- Provide direct therapy to a small, manageable caseload of students
- Document services, maintain compliance, and communicate with families regarding progress
- Support classroom teachers in implementing strategies to facilitate student communication and participation
