Providing specialized speech-language pathology services for young children requires flexibility, expertise, and dedication. This contract opportunity is for Preschool Early Intervention Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with a valid Pennsylvania license and educator credentials to serve in an itinerant capacity within Carbon and Lehigh Counties. The role centers on delivering crucial early intervention services to preschool children and, as needed during the school year, to school-aged students up to grade 12.

Location: Positions serve districts in Carbon County or Lehigh County, PA, with the IU main office based in Schnecksville, PA.

Job Type: Contract, full-time hours (35 hours per week), primarily in-person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide itinerant speech-language services to preschool-aged children under early intervention and school-age students as assignments evolve.
  • Deliver individualized treatment plans in alignment with developmental and educational goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Adapt schedules and caseloads within a flexible model, traveling between sites within designated counties.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Pennsylvania SLP licensure.
  • Valid Pennsylvania educator credential (Instructional I or II).
  • Experience providing speech-language pathology services in educational or early intervention settings preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite and travel within Carbon and Lehigh Counties.
  • Flexibility to serve children from preschool through grade 12.
