This position is scheduled for two days per week starting at the end of August and continuing through the conclusion of the academic year. While an SLP with CCC is preferred, applicants who are SLPA or Clinical Fellows (with school-based experience) will be thoughtfully considered.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active State of Delaware SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
- Will consider qualified SLPAs or Clinical Fellows who have relevant school-based experience
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students (K-6th) is advantageous
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other team members
- Passion for supporting diverse learners and facilitating progress in speech and language goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for K-6th students
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to students’ educational planning
- Engage families and caregivers in supporting student growth
