Speech-Language Pathologist – School-Based Contract Opportunity
Location: Seattle, WA
Contract Duration: August 24, 2026 – June 16, 2027 (tentative extension to June 23, 2027)
Weekly Hours: 37.5
Caseload: Approximately 50 students

This contract position offers an opportunity for a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to support a diverse student population within the Seattle school system. The assignment begins with training days starting the week of August 24, 2026, followed by the official first day of school on August 31, 2026. The contract runs through mid-June, with possible extension for snow makeup days.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations across a wide age range, from pre-kindergarten through age 22
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans tailored to meet students’ communication needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Maintain documentation and compliance with school policies and federal/state regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid and active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience working with students in educational settings, ideally spanning multiple age groups (PK to age 22)
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50 students independently
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to facilitate collaboration and record-keeping
  • Flexibility and adaptability for site placement and schedule adjustments

This role provides a competitive hourly rate of $50 to $65 and the chance to make a meaningful impact in students’ educational journeys. Locations within Seattle will be assigned based on program needs and may vary.
