Located near Seattle, WA, this full-time contract opportunity runs from ASAP until June 17, 2026. You'll work a balanced schedule that includes both middle school and homebound settings, offering unique experiences and professional growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Washington State SLP licensure and ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP)
- Recent experience working with school-aged children, ideally at the secondary level
- Proficiency with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, including eye gaze technology
- Ability to organize therapy schedules, maintain documentation, and collaborate effectively with school staff and families
- Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to middle school students four days per week
- Dedicate Mondays to working with homebound students (both elementary and secondary), incorporating use of AAC and assistive technology
- Assess, plan, and implement IEPs in coordination with interdisciplinary teams
- Consult with teachers and caregivers, providing strategies for enhancing communication skills
- Participate in team meetings and help transition caseload smoothly by overlapping with the current SLP the first week or two
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation as per federal, state, and district requirements
