About the Role
We're hiring 2 School-Based Occupational Therapists (OTs) for on-site, in-person positions in Seattle, WA for the Fall 2026 semester. These roles serve students with moderate to high support needs across multiple school locations in a large urban district with diverse student populations.
Position Details
- Openings: 2
- Start Date: ~September 2, 2026
- End Date: ~Mid-December 2026 (approx. 2nd or 3rd week of December)
- Duration: Fall semester (~3.5 months)
- Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Hourly Rate: $45.00 – $50.00 / hour, based on experience
- Schedule: School-based schedule following district calendar
- Caseload: Moderate to high support needs students; moderate support needs students
- Setting: 1 vacancy in Central Seattle (1 school site); 1 vacancy in Central, Southwest & Southeast Seattle (multiple sites / itinerant)
- Student Population: K–12
Responsibilities
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with moderate to high support needs
- Support sensory processing, fine motor, visual motor, self-regulation, and ADL goals
- Collaborate with IEP teams, special education teachers, and related service providers
- Travel between multiple school sites as assigned (Southwest & Southeast position)
- Maintain accurate service logs, progress notes, and IEP documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
- Implement sensory diets, adaptive equipment recommendations, and environmental modifications
Qualifications
- Active Washington OT License (required)
- Active ESA Certificate (Educational Staff Associate) — required for school-based practice in WA
- Previous school-based OT experience or pediatric OT experience preferred
- Experience with moderate to high support needs populations preferred
- Comfortable with itinerant, multi-site assignments (Central/Southwest/Southeast position)
- Strong IEP and special education knowledge preferred
