Make a difference in the lives of elementary students by providing essential speech and language services across three welcoming school campuses in the Semmes area. As a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to support K–5 students through both on-site and virtual platforms, delivering impactful interventions and fostering growth in communication skills.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Active registration with the Board of Speech Examiners; images of licensure required upon offer
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly grades K–5
  • Willingness to deliver services on-site and/or via VOCO (virtual) as needed
  • Strong organizational skills for managing caseloads across Holloway Elementary, Dawes Intermediate, and Semmes Elementary

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students in kindergarten through fifth grade
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement targeted therapy sessions
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Maintain clear, timely documentation and progress reports according to school district guidelines
  • Engage in both direct and consultative services, adapting to the needs of each student and campus
  • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development
