Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Washington state licensure or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates considered
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage and adapt to a varied caseload across multiple grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and participate in IEP meetings
- Develop individualized goals tailored to student needs, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed
- Consult with teachers, special educators, and families to integrate speech-language supports within the general education setting
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required by district and state guidelines
- Offer training or resources to staff and caregivers, promoting carryover of skills beyond the therapy setting
